Аннотация: | Сформулированы теоретические основы для обеспечения определения местоположения нерегулируемого наземного пешеходного перехода на перегоне городской улицы. Разработана соответствующая методика, которая дополнительно учитывает интенсивность, скорость дорожного движения и безопасность движения. Методика экспериментально проверена. |
Описание: | Background. The state of road traffic safety in Ukraine isconsidered to be the worst in Europe. According to the results of statistics processing, 45% of all the road traffic accidents occur around pedestrian crossings, 20 % of them occur in the city streets around uncontrolled ground pedestrian crossings. These statistics emphasize the topicality of scientific tasks solutions connected with the provision of safe road traffic, above all, around uncontrolled ground pedestrian crossings.
Materials and/or methods. The issues of time saving on traffic and pedestrian traffic improvement are analyzed as a socio-economic effect by means ofa well-grounded identification of an uncontrolled
ground pedestrian crossing location in the city streets using the given technology. The present recommendations, which have been given careful consideration, concerning the organization of uncontrolled ground pedestrian crossings in the city streets have a number of drawbacks, which enables us
to define the aim and the task of the research.
Results. General approaches to the identification of an uncontrolled ground pedestrian crossing in the city streets have been framed. The common technique of pedestrian correspondences identification in
the city streets has been suggested; a corresponding scheme has been built. Approaches to the identification of an uncontrolled ground pedestrian crossing location in the city streets, traffic density, flow speed and road traffic safety have been analyzed.
Conclusion. The calculation techniques of the vehicle characteristic of pedestrian correspondence, which additionally includes density, speed of the traffic flow, which intersects with the correspondence, and traffic safety have been devised. The index of the uncontrolled ground pedestrian crossings in the city streets of Gorlovka road network hasbeen compiled; the corresponding data on their characteristics have been collected. Polling measurementsof a single vehicle speed have been carried out
to specify the traffic flow speed. Time of a pedestrian movement at corresponding pedestrian crossings has also been measured. Experimental calculations to check the established influence of an uncontrolled ground pedestrian crossing in the city streets on time expenditure on traffic and pedestrian traffic safety have been carried out. A new technique of an uncontrolled ground pedestrian crossing identification has been framed. |
